While President Obama got out ahead of the Ebola situation before we had even one case here, and we have so far had one imported case and very limited cases among the caregivers, I give him high marks. Certainly better than the record of Reagan who did little to arrest the AIDS problem of his day, and better than later Republicans who, generally, seem to think our govt shouldn't worry about that pesky common welfare clause in the preamble --- till an emergency crops up. Then instead of working to solve the problem they make it another political issue.
If you are registered, wherever you live, vote! It is important to vote in the Presidential elections, yes. But it is perhaps even more important to vote in the midterms. We need leaders who will open their minds, discuss the issues honestly, and find ways to govern!
