What fun! Don't miss Lucky Stiff at Marietta Theatre Company right off the square in Marietta. Lillian Shaw (Ahem, our daughter) will knock your socks off with her belting voice and her absolute inhabitance of the goofball character "Rita" who has "Accidentally!!!!" shot her lover. The entire company is outstanding and this intimate little theater puts you right in the middle of the action. Two more weekends. Here is Lillian with her proud parents under eerie blue stage lights on opening night.

Lucky Stiff is an offbeat, hilarious murder mystery farce, complete with mistaken identities, six million bucks in diamonds and a corpse in a wheelchair. The story revolves around an unassuming English shoe salesman who is forced to take the embalmed body of his recently murdered uncle on a vacation to Monte Carlo. Should he succeed in passing his uncle off as alive, Harry Witherspoon stands to inherit $6,000,000. If not, the money goes to the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn… or else his uncle’s gun-toting ex! The Good News is, Marietta Theatre Co has seen fit to pull me from the Lighting Booth, and put me on Stage. The Bad News is, "Lucky Stiff" is a musical and all who have witnessed me trying to sing and dance know it is harmful to children and those with Auto Immune Deficiencies. The Good news is, the character is dead throughout. My question - am I an actor or a prop?
