Gleaning Facebook: New Voices

 Vote Tuesday, Nov. 3!

Burwell Forest is a mature growth of mixed harwoods and pines between Burwell Creek and Riverside Parkway. These open woods are a part of our floodplain that helps to store and filter flood waters, protecting other areas from fooding and protecting us all from erosion and contaminants.
Please help us protect this forest by voting for new voices for our city commission. The incumbents in this race support selling the forest to private developers, at a bargain. Their plans are to clear-cut the forest, level it and haul in mounds of fill to bring the entire area up to street level.
We believe this park land, directly across from Ridge Ferry Park should be retained in public hands for future park expansion, for walking and hiking trails, and to connect Ridge Ferry section with the trails on the Jackson Hill section, creating one large and beautiful Central Park for our children and grandchildren.
Vote only for the challengers.
Vote for NO incumbents.
Save Rome's Central Park!
