We stayed up last night long enough to see the New Year in for the east coast, but were snoozing by the time the New Year reached Carlsbad, California. But we had a glorious morning including this first sunrise of the year outside our bedroom window. The solar panels of a neighboring house reflect things for a little extra fireworks.
We really don't feel too bad -- some sneezing and coughing and congestion -- considering our Covid diagnosis. Still we are quarantined here in Carlsbad. We hope to mask up and meet our grandkids at a park later in the day for some Six Feet Apart togetherness.
So far we have spent the rest of the morning watching the Rose parade and the Citrus Bowl.

Sheila and I drove by the In 'n' Out and picked up burgers and fries. Wee drove to Guajome Regional Park to eat them and to wait for John and Brannon and the girls. When they arrived we had an hour or so of great fun.
