In celebration of Susannah's baptism I toted a bag of Baby Ruth and Three Musketeer candy bars with appropriate notes attached to Faith Lutheran Church for the 8 a.m. service. It's a tradition I started when Brannon Ruth was baptized at our Trinity United Methodist Church in Rome in 1983. I don't smoke cigars so the candy bars seemed a good substitute. This is our third family baptism at Faith. Thanks to family friend Joshua Haug for the pictures of the baptism.
And then at noon we celebrated Ruth's second birthday almost a month late. What a time was had by all. The party was held at the Children's Garden at Alta Vista Botanical Garden. (Someone get John Schulz busy organizing a children's garden for Rome!)
