Our houseguest, Ryan Hill, remined us that there would be a lunar eclipse tonight and a quick trip to the porch showed the full moon rising beautifully over downtown Rome and shining down on our old house between the neighbors pecan and our magnolia.
My iPhone camera is amazing but it is not the best choice for astonomical photography. Here are my pictures in order as earth's shadow nibbled at the bright disk.

| Finally we climbed the levee to watch the moon turn reddish. Gradually mist moved in and it was barely visible. Then clouds and it was gone. |
