Sprucing Bea's Garden

The Fourth is just a week from tomorrow and my yard is far from ready. I have been trying to work my way gradually from the street to the levee. I finished the front yard several days ago. Rain, hot weather, and a 78 year-old body have slowed me down. I have finally pretty much finished Bea's garden -- though I may add some more plants as I work my way back.

We first created Bea's Garden between the house and the driveway a few years ago. Lillian's beloved cat, Beatrice died and needed a burial site. We volunteered our side yard and I began to develop it into a little hidden garden. But I've been inconsistent, as is my wont, and it needed a big sprucing up.

There is still a huge job to get the back yard in shape. I need a day laborer to help me --  $150 cash per day?. Anyone know of one?

Bea is buried under the liriope around bird bath.
