Out of Town Visitor

This red-tailed hawk, harassed by a trio of raucous, bullying crows, alighted atop a utility pole overlooking busy Shorter Avenue across from Lowe's here in Rome, Georgia. I pulled up into the lot of the U-Haul place, whipped out the ol' Canon, and took a few shots, while she posed under the lowering skies. As I drove out I impulsively decided to slide right into the next drive and get a shot from the rear, and so captured her red tail. Here she is from both sides.
