The most successful first term president in many years will give his annual State of the Union speech. But I can tell, our union has some real problems, but this good man has made things so much better in only two years.
He starts with congratulations to Speaker McCarthy.
Special recognition for America great just retired (as speaker) Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
"Building the economy from the middle out rather than the top down" He has said it over and over again. He believes it and has shown it works. Thank you, Mr. President.
Finish the job.
Expand Medicaid.
Support workers.
Make sure the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes.
Finish the job.
Give public school teachers a raise.
Ban assault weapons.
We will protect Medicare and Social Security.
I loved the way he handled the Republican hecklers -- especially the loathsome and unbelievably ignorant Marjorie Taylor Greene!
Oh my! Kevin McCarthy was the most uncomfortable looking Speaker at a SOTU I remember.
A detailed speech that united most listeners in common sense in stark contrast with the rude and extreme house members.
I hope there were lots of Americans listening.
