What a year!

It's been hard with only a few seats more than the Trumpists in the House and a tie in the Senate.

BUT what a difference a year has made. We have a professional patriotic responsible executive branch.

Our roads, bridges, and ports are being upgraded.

More areas of the country have hi-speed broadband.

More federal judges have been appointed than in any president's first year since 1961.

We've moved from 2 million people vaccinated to over 200 million people vaccinated.

95% of kids are back in school.

Restaurants are up and running again.

6,400,000 jobs have been created -- the most in one year EVER!

The average American is taking home more money every month -- in real dollars, even taking inflation into consideration.

AND speaking of inflation, just imagine, our current big economic dilemma is that the economy has recovered so much that inflation is now a worry.

Thank you Mr. President and thank you to the people who came out to the polls in RECORD numbers in 2020 to elect President Biden by millions of votes. And especially to Georgia voters who helped elect the President then came back to the polls to elect TWO brilliant, inspiring, and patriotic Democratic US Senators.

Now we must do it again.

We must end the gridlock by electing more Democratic senators

  1. Wow. Every time I check out the Limb I am glad to see the addition of great posts.

Ohio has a chance to improve the US Senate. Republican Rob Portman is retiring, so the race is on for his replacement. Portman always has presented himself as a sane Republican, reasonable and gentle in his speech, but he has always conformed to the Republican majority on all of the big votes. There is four or five Republicans spending a lot of money on TV ads — each with an angry and slimy pitch aimed at getting Trump's support.

Democrats will have a good candidate in Tim Ryan — the 20 year representative for the Youngstown area. I'm hopeful that sanity will return to a lot of Republican voters, some of which must be getting sick of the big LIE and the on-going subversion of our democracy.

    1. Thanks, Mike. This blog is sort of diary. It could use some editing but I write it mostly for myself rather than others. BUT I sure do appreciate the small group of folks it's nice to get a little feedback occasionally. I see that Ryan has three Democratic rivals for the nomination, but I can find no recent polling. Are any of his primary opponents competitive?

  2. Well, my comment could have used some simple proofreading, huh? Oh well, maybe you can figure it out. :-)
