We had a great day yesterday hiking up to Berry College's House of Dreams with our friend Mike Bock of Dayton, Ohio.

Comments on the original Facebook Post --
Warren Latham: Not only do you look like your dad, you obviously inherited his passion and ability with a camera. You had a wonderful father who was a great encouragement to a young preacher. Blessings, Warren
Me: Thanks, Warren. Hope the recovery is going well for you.
Mike: Hey , a great time -- but what's with these pictures? They make me look fat.
Me: Note to visitors to this site: As you may have guessed the bellies shown in these pictures are NOT real. They were obviously photoshopped into the photographs by some nefarious internet prankster.

It was getting late when we started up the two and a half mile trail toward The House of Dreams arop Lavendar Mountain. |

This gingko was in fiery fall color. |

On the porch: I should have photoshopped this a little to bring out the "valley". It was gorgeous. |

The House of Dreams. Tracy Lawler: You know, I've heard about the House of Dreams all my life but I've never actually seen until your photos today! It's lovely and what a peaceful view! Me: We got to tour it when we visited last (30 years ago). The big room has windows overlooking the valleys on the east and the west. |

The wonderful tree swings made the climb worth all the aches of the next day. |

Sheila: I want a swing like this in my backyard. |

We continued the tour the today with a trip to Martha Berry's Home, Oak Hill, as well as the Martha Berry Museum and 'Possum Trot.

The next day Mike and I visited Martha Berry's plantation home, Oak Hill. Here is Mike at the gardens. Christie Boyd: I love the sunken gardens! Pam Clarkson and I used to walk here frequently when she first moved to Charlton Road. |
