"Everything is going to be all right." - John P. Shultz
I am cheered by reading John Schultz's daily thoughtful posts. Also known as John The Plant Man, this horticulture expert is a cancer survivor. He shares the attitudes that have gotten him through cancer treatments and all the uncertainty, discomfort, and fear that must entail. My problems thus far pale by comparison, but are eased by his uplifting posts. So much in life is a matter of choice. 100 years is brief in any kind of real terms. Whatever time we are privileged with breath and thought should be relished. John reminds me every morning to grab my bat for each "extra inning" I am awarded, keep my eye on the ball, and take some good swings.
Thanks John.
Here's John's post for today:
It’s a day to be selfish. Be selfish by figuring out what makes you happy and then sharing it with others. This will make you feel good. Isn’t it a wonderful feeling when you smile at people and they return the gesture? Start the day with a laugh. Go out and share a giggle.Everything is going to be all right.-- John P. Schulz
