Repeating the Past

Those of us who remember the history of World War Two will remember that there was an active group, including several famous Americans and even members of Congress, who were fascist sympathizers during the years just before and some during WWII. We are aghast that a loud minority in the 2000s have revived the name of that traitorous group "America First" with no embarrassment even after hundreds of their fellows violently attacked our Capitol seeking to overthrow the 2020 election -- some of them wearing fascist slogans or carrying Confederate flags. 

I've been listening to Rachael Maddox's podcast series "Ultra" for the last seven Mondays. It is an excellent review of the America Firsters of the thirties and forties. One more Monday episode to go. I highly recommend it.
