Come help us organize to Save Our Central Park!

We have exactly 28 days. The only thing on the ballot on November 3rd will be six posts on the Rome City Commission. The five incumbents who are running this year (three are not up for election and one is vacant) all have voted in the past to sell our park land. Although these folks are not bad folks, this vote cannot stand. The ONLY way to change it is to elect new commissioners to join the ones who opposed the sale.

So, we must say, for the Nov. 3rd election:

Save Our Central Park,

Vote for No Incumbents!

I know this may seem crazy, these folks can do math. They will see the decrease in their margins of victory and just maybe one, or two, or even three new commissioners will help fill the six seats that are up for election this year. It is the only way to show that the vast majority of us oppose the giveaway sale of our "Central Park" land.

We have 28 days to make a difference. There will be 22 days left by the time of this meeting. We have a tough job, but it can be done. If you truly believe that we should save our 80 acres of public land around the Burwell Creek wetland for our posterity, come join the fight. Our home, next Monday, while our City Commission is meeting on the first day of early voting we will be organizing to bring new ideas, new vision to that body. We want commissioners with one-hindred-year eyes. We can do it. Please come.
