| Podophyllum peltatum (Mayapple) Sarah Anne: Are these the same things as the maypops? You can eat?! Terrell Shaw: What I called Maypop as a kid was Passion Flower (Passiflora incarnate). It has a large seed pod that a ten-year-old can pop under his foot. Mayapple has an edible fruit but I've never heard it called Maypop. |
