My Daddy really got into woodworking his last few years. I often tell the story of the Christmas season of 1986 when he started making a bunch of wooden gifts for the grandkids -- doll cradles, snow sleds, a rocking horse. This is another earlier little project. I think he made one of these Rudolphs for each of the seven families of his offspring. It is sort of a four-piece puzzle that gets put together once a year, adorned with a ribbon, and set-up to guard the Christmas tree.
